Medical Disclaimer

Updated 19 August 2026
Klori is not a medical app. It keeps a food diary and estimates numbers. It does not diagnose, does not treat, and does not replace a doctor.

What Klori does

It estimates the calories and composition of food from a photo or a description, keeps a diary, and shows how weight and nutrients change. Every number is an approximation built on typical values; the actual dish can differ.

What Klori is not

  • Not a medical device and not a diagnostic tool.
  • Not a source of medical advice. Kai is a language model: it can be wrong, and its answers are not a consultation with a doctor or a dietitian.
  • Not a treatment programme for eating disorders, diabetes, allergies or any other condition.

When to talk to a doctor, not to an app

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, an eating disorder, an allergy, a chronic illness — or simply plan a major change to your diet — discuss it with a doctor or dietitian before steering by Klori's numbers. Calorie targets and Kai's suggestions assume the general case of a healthy adult.

Allergens

Kai can miss an allergen in a photo or in a product's ingredients. Never rely on Klori to decide whether a dish is safe for an allergy.

Emergencies

Klori is not built for emergencies. If you feel unwell, contact a doctor or the emergency services, not an app.
